Well, to be perfectly honest, the Katydid wasn't just looking at the flower but actually eating it. I just thought it sounded a tad wrong to post: I just want someone to... Never mind. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Kaydids have never been on my radar as such. I'm sure I've come across them before, but like everything, once you really look at something, or study them under a microscope (or macro lens) they become something else, more beautiful maybe, more interesting definitely. I've been hanging out at these purple flowers recently and they are teeming with life. If anyone with more gardening nounce than me can let me know what they are so I can run around planting them like a crazy woman, I'd very much appreciate it. I mean, they attract pretty much everything and then those that aren't interested in the flowers themselves turn up just to feast on the plant eaters. It's a lovely little purple ecosystem, all on its own. In other news, I'm pretty sure I saw my first Antechinus today!!! I desperately tried to get a photo as it scurried over a couple of nearby logs, so I could ID it more than anything. Who am I kidding? I wanted a photo just because. Have you seen those little guys? So freaking CUTE! So yeah, I guess this insect will have to do until I can get a pic of the little fluffy for you all. Garden Katydid Northern Illawarra
