What is it about not trying to scare your partner, that always leads to screams and squeals and mad dashes out of the car, or frantic brushing down of clothes?!
Me spotting spider in the car: “don’t panic but you might want to jump out for a sec”. Cue Matt throwing open the door and practically stop, drop and rolling away down the driveway.

And then Matt grabbing my arm and pointing frantically after spotting this young blue-tongue lizard sunning itself in a garden bed, somehow through those two simple actions, convinced me I was about to come eye to eye with a snake 😂
The blue tongue really did put on a big-boy show for us, the whole nine yards, vibrant blue tongue rolling out of its mouth, surprisingly wide and textured, puffing its body up to appear bigger while backing away.
