What better way to ring in Christmas Eve in Australia than starting the day with a noisy chorus of cicadas who have, thankfully, chosen the trees across the road to sing from; just the right amount of decibels. And then we encountered some gorgeous Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoos munching away in the banksia trees on our walk. Totally Australian and very 'g'day mate' and just a really lovely way to while away today (that and the multiple naps I've been enjoying). There's food to be made, and a kid to pick up from work but right now I'm looking forward to setting the table for our pre-Chrissy dinner tonight, just the three of us and excitedly, occasionally, squeezing and shaking the pressies under the tree 😂🎄🙌
Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, I hope you all have a really lovely Christmas. Thanks so much for the support during this last year particularly - loads of brilliant comments and photos shared of your adventures - I love each and everyone of them (even when I don't get a chance to reply). So enjoy the next few days, be it with family or with friends or by yourself. During it all, I really hope you get a chance to steal a few minutes, to head outside, to breathe and spend some time with the critters big and small.
Lots of love and a very, very merry Christmas,
Amanda
