Let's end the year with one of our fave walks and some of the animals we spotted along the way (you might even spot me in the video too. A very rare sighting indeed 😉) Yesterday was perfect walking weather, not scorching like it has been, a cool enough breeze so that the back sweat was not too gross and lots of critters. Haven't been out for a while so it was really lovely to hear the bush again (I've added a little vid near the end of the Masked Devil cicadas calling. It was the first time I have actually seen this species and they're gorgeous and not as hard on the ears as our local Red Eyes). EDIT: think they're actually double drummers -didn't realise how huge they were until I got them home next to other specimens I'd found. Massive! The first half an hour I was so distracted just taking it all in, but it wasn't long before we were on our hands and knees looking at the small critters and coming eye to eye with a couple of different lizards. This is how I want 2024 to end, and 2025 to start and well, continue! Thank you so much for all your support. It really does mean the world, and I know it can be an effort to find me amongst all the ads and suggested posts. Here's to a new year filled with adventures, both big and small. Happy New Year everyone!
