Today was quite warm. Sunny and lovely but warm and it's days like this that reminds me that as much as I have been jumping up and down (figuratively not literally) for months waiting for spring, I don't actually like the heat at all and it's at this point that I start counting down to winter again 😂 (pray for my husband, he lives with me).
Now I need to come clean with you guys. I haven't actually been out at all this week and all the photos are from a couple of very successful jaunts last week. This is in spite of me singing the praises of getting out amongst it over and over again. What can I say, I'm a hypocrite 😉😂. I did try yesterday and today but only lasted 15 minutes on both occasions and as anyone who has ever commented on this page 'you always see great stuff when you're out' will attest, generally you need to spend quite a bit longer than that to see anything interesting or in my case, anything at all.
There was also a massive group of school kids at Bulli today, two coach loads full, and they even had their own wood fired pizza van. So even if I felt like staying around, the mass of high school kids would have sent me running anyway. They're just so...unpredictable, and call me crazy but I just don't want to end up as part of someone's snapchat story (? clearly I don't use snap). I guess we can add 'high school kids' to my list of fears along with vomiting and flying. Actually, in all honesty, I have been unwell for a while now and these last couple of weeks have really knocked me around so sometimes you've just got to do what you've got to do - hence loads of rest, being bent into positions I didn't even know my body could get into at the osteopath (again, please pray for my husband, he lives with me 😂) and trying to cut out/down dairy (full disclosure I just ate some cheese). At this point, wine is still in our lives. And on that note, happy Friday to you all 😀
Anyway, enough about me. How good are dolphins? I'm a massive believer that if you spend long enough looking at the ocean you will see something interesting. These ones popped up during our wait for whales last Saturday and were part of a pod of about seven dolphins all fishing.
So now to decide on tomorrow...head south to try and get some more whale action or north west for Rainbow Bee Eaters? Let me know if you have a preference as to what you'd like us to target. Either way it's a good decision to have to make!
