I turned 50 the other day. The number itself doesn't worry me too much (okay, maybe a tiny bit) but people's perception of me sure does!
We had a tradie out here and I know him pretty well now and we joke around a fair bit but jokingly asking for a discount isn't as funny when he replies offering a bloody PENSIONER discount!!! He was joking as well, and honestly it wouldn't have stung as much if I did actually get some money off but woof, that was tough.
And then I was minding my own business in Woollies just waiting for someone to move on and once she spotted me she was like, "I am so sorry ma'am, I'll get out of your way." MA'AM?!?!?!?! I'm too young to get ma'am'd surely 🥹
So yes, I'm all up in my feels this week hahaha
I did finally get back out to the rock shelf again. It has been ages and it was actually ridiculously lovely because they have just burst back to life. SO many carpet sea stars and sea hares I didn't know where to look! These stars are among my favourites just due to the sheer number of patterns and colours.
I was battling the rain and wind so didn't stay as long as I'd hoped but what a lovely birthday surprise.
