Autumn I am so ready for you!!! What the hell was with the 38 degree day today?! It's been air con blasting pretty much all day here and I have a very snotty kid so there hasn't been much zoologying happening in this neck of the woods. Still, at around 6:30PM every evening the trees get crazy full with loads of little birds - thornbills and spine bills and fairy-wrens and finches all there to feast on insects.

And amongst them all, the most lovely little fantail doing its thing right near our balcony just as the light faded into nothing. Unlike me though these guys love the heat and will be leaving southern Australia shortly, around March/April and  moving north for the winter heading to Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands. Better you than me little guys!
