We have the paint, we started to paint last weekend and had planned to make real inroads today but yeah. Still, it would be unAustralian to do any hard labour on Australia Day right? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Instead we had brekky on the balcony in a local cafe, overlooking the ocean and it was perfect. People EVERYWHERE but we felt removed enough from the action, up high, in our little corner, to enjoy it without it getting too people-y. And then the dolphins arrived! There must have been at least 7 in the pod and they were chasing fish close into the shore - with all the surfers. Most people stayed a respectful distance from them, and waited floating around while the dolphins came in close - sometimes super close - to them. There's always a bit of a dickhead or two who has to take chase but that's the thing with dolphins, they're fast, and the ocean is big, and they soon took off from anyone who wasn't playing nice. And for those who did play nice the reward was an incredible face to face encounter. Totally lovely part of the world to live in. Happy Australia Day!!!
