So I haven't really made it on a tawny baby run for a while. I've been worried about them because we have had a couple of uber windy days, and loads of super hot days. So despite the fact there were loads of dark clouds and it was raining on and off and work has been crazy and this time of year is crazy I was determined to do a quick gardens dash today. And I was met with an empty nest. I stood there for a minute wondering what on earth had happened and thinking the worst...and then I saw a parent and a bubba high up in the tree not far away. Success! And then I heard a noise that I couldn't place. There were some peewees bouncing around in a tree behind me but that definitely wasn't it. I stood and looked up into the leaves for a while. Nothing. I walked around to get different angles. Nothing. And then suddenly...something. Another parent and the other baby - nice and low and staring at me!
