So spiders are new for me. I don't dislike them, and I wouldn't say I'm scared as such but I'm not gonna lie: when I found this beauty my first instinct was to run inside to grab my camera and then to get the camera as close as possible to the spider while stretching my body as far away as possible. I didn't scream, but I didn't not squeal either. Baby steps. And when the result is seeing this beautiful male up close, I guess it was worth the palpitations, and the sweaty palms.
I went out a few times during the night (these guys are nocturnal) to see if I could see it hunting with its net but alas, no cigar. Still, very happy to come across this big boy
