Not only is it rude but it's just not true! In unrelated news, I nearly died twice today looking for birds ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I woke up not feeling much like leaving the house but I'm nothing if not totally obsessed so I got up, packed up and headed out! Since it was crazy hot and there was nothing much to see at Mt Annan I decided to head to where I've seen Rainbow Bee Eaters - a big fat dip! Nothing. Nada. Apart from a smallish red belly coming up out of the river. I mean, if I had approached it and harassed it, and cornered it and given it absolutely no choice but to strike and if I then had just sat in my car, refusing to go to hospital and be treated with anti venom I could be dead!!! Dead I tell ya! ๐Ÿคฃ After that life threatening experience I wanted to try one other spot before heading home. Now at this point it was 32 degrees. I don't do heat. I don't do sun. And I also, for some reason, don't pack water. I was feeling terribly woozy, like I was going to faint, I was so desperate I nearly drank out of the public bubbler, at the dog park, which is worryingly, dog height. I even wondered: 'is this how I die? Of thirst?' But I soldiered on and found one solitary bee eater. One. That then disappeared. What a dip of a day! Still, very happy that I survived to tell the tale!!! Red Belly Black Snake Camden #snake #reptiles #redbellyblacksnake #nature #australia #camden #backyardzoology
