Don't mind me being a tad quiet on here. Finding socials a bit of a drag what with all the ads and suggested posts and I've instead been throwing myself into learning new skills - I'm currently balls deep in a massive crochet project waaaay beyond my skills but based around the Museum of Natural History which is kind of cool - and pushing myself in various ways such as going down a much steeper incline than I normally would on our last forest walk.
It's all very basic for most folks but for someone with a tendency to fall and a personality that is quite risk averse it has been a real 'throwing caution to the wind' year so far. I came away unscathed but I did bring home 8 leeches including one I found an hour after I got home ... on my actual butt. Like, on the skin. Feasting. Skin crawling for me but I'm sure the leech got a thrill.
Anyway, a couple of days ago I met a girlfriend down Bushranger's Bay. I didn't snorkel out too far because deep water and I are just learning to play nicely together but I found these two very lovely rays in the shallows so I was a happy camper indeed.
