If my wander in the bush last Saturday doesn't perfectly sum up my evolution as an animal lover I don't know what else will.

Started out looking for swamp wallabies (I was totally obsessed with mammals and marsupials for a long time), stumbled across a bower and changed to searching for satin bower birds (discovered how cool birds were when I got my first camera and realised what a readily available and fascinating subject they made) and then got lucky when a beautiful robber fly landed right in front of me (I'm just discovering how cool invertebrates are). Great morning!
