Thought I'd share a piece I wrote for Australian Geographic Adventure magazine about the incredible Young at Heart kayak program designed to get seniors out and onto the water and run by the super lovely folks at Region X Unspoilt Experiences Batemans Bay NSW.
It was such a challenge for me because my body couldn't do what I wanted it to (some of you know I have an autoimmune disease), and I was quite flat for a while. As a result the story evolved into how we (okay, how I) perceive ageing and the people I chatted to were totally inspirational. I'm now looking forward to giving kayaking another try again soon.
