I bought new jeans the other day. It's been forever and they are the new wide leg style because don't you know skinny jeans are out of farshan, darling. I got them on mega sale and they are deliciously comfortable so I couldn't wait, ripped off the tag and slid my body into them and off I went to Woollies to do the groceries.
Let me tell you, I was sashaying up and down the aisles. It's not often that I have a body positive moment so I was loving the experience. I had my AirPods in, listening to some tunes, just completely in the zone.
I got home, pulled my phone from my back pocket and as I did, my hand swept up against something. I reached back and patted the area trying to work out what it was. Turns out, I'd missed a tag. Found the little one and removed that, but the one I left attached? Oh, that was only almost the size of the pocket itself and in bold, capital letters it announced WIDE LEG and then in larger, bolder type it screamed my size to all the shoppers I had spent the last half an hour with. And this is why I choose to spend the majority of my time in my pjs!
Matt found this gorgeous caterpillar the other day - it's that of the Four-Spotted Cup Moth and it was bloody gorgeous. My favourite colours are pink and green so this was right up my alley. These critters STING really bad though, so avoid touching if you can. Stinging hairs pop up when disturbed and that's the bit that you don't want to touch. We actually found a few, snacking on acacia and one of the poor fellas seems to have been parasitised, possibly by a wasp.
That's the circle of life I guess, we're born, we change, we embarrass ourselves in public and then we die.
