So today we achieved...wallaby!!! We knew they were living in our bush but apart from Matt spotting one near the road once a few months ago, we hadn't seen them. We were back bush bashing again today - it was seriously beautiful - and we went off trail a few times after hearing some suspicious bounding sounds. And then after feeling like we were hopelessly lost (spoiler: we weren't) down the valley in front of us I got to watch a gorgeous wallaby (my best guess is swampy) bounding through the bush! I could have cried it was so exciting. No pic of course so here's a better picture of the Bassian Thrush we stumbled across yesterday (who obliged today by standing on the path in the light, even though my focus wasn't set so I missed the perfect capture)
