Wasn't sure what to share but I've gone with the behaviour that just would not replicate for me today, even though I packed the more appropriate lens. Thanks for nothing Nature. Yesterday I headed out to Blackbutt Reserve near Shellharbour which I have never actually been to. At first I didn't think there was much to it, and definitely no defined trails just fields of long grass and weeds. Yeah, turns out I was wrong about that. It's this really beautiful, natural space in the middle of suburbia, loads of trees, carpets of native violets if you accidentally find yourself in the right place, toilets, so no more bush wees, which is lucky because there's also BBQs and playgrounds and I'm not sure me dropping my pants while screaming, "don't look at me!" would be appreciated by the general public in the way Matt appreciates it when I'm trying to be inconspicuous just off a trail. And there were SO many dragonflies and damselflies and it felt like, finally, Spring had sprung. There were a few twigs coming off lantana that were filled with resting dragonflies. All hanging out together but not close enough for my stupidly long lens. And so today I brought the more appropriate lens which would have worked a treat except now the dragonflies were replaced with a Dragon, clearly trying to get an easy feed.
