I'm here with a thousand apologies for my absolute slackness in posting lately. I'm balls deep (I changed that for knees deep not wanting to offend anyone and then thought, 'nah, knees is not deep enough so balls it is 🤣) in my Freelance Writing course. Gah! I am LOVING it. And I'm so excited at the possibility that I might be able to bring in some cash without putting my body through anymore grief. Either way, my 'office' is all set up and features an oil burner, a set of small hand weights, a handmade rainbow thingy (see, words are totally my thing 😉), a flower wand with crystal tower, more crystals, a butterfly in a dome, pink lockers - you know, all the stuff you need to do some kick arse writing.
But it has meant that I'm just not in the headspace to get on here and write. Or so I thought, the words are pouring out of my fingers now so what can I say? I'm an enigma. Anyway. BLUE-BANDED BEES!!!! Yes, I'm yelling! Finally! I am so out of practice with their zig zaggy flight patterns and they don't seem that enamoured with my flower choice for some reason this year so I'm having very fleeting encounters but yay!!!
It does seem that things are finally waking up. Our morning coffee was surrounded by moths and butterflies and dragonflies and crashing beetles and zooming cicadas and other smaller critters that I could barely see. We even saw a Total Bastard yesterday - a Domino Cuckoo Bee, slowly looking under the house and along the fence line for Teddy Bear Bees nests. There's just been so much activity! Maybe this season isn't done for yet.
