No scratching herself in the day, no clambering out of the roof and stomping noisily over the tin after dark. We’re assuming she’s moved out and frankly I wouldn’t blame her; after recently having a joey there’s a young male who waits for her, just beyond the roof and ah, makes her life difficult. In a sexual way. Over and over and over again 😳 We last saw her a few weeks ago, heading out for the night, her pouch very full, hanging low and gently swaying side to side as she waddled along the roof. Another baby. Maybe squeezing in and out of our roof was no longer an option. Either way, today as I pulled up to our garage I spotted two tails, one big, black and ridiculously fluffy and the other smaller and sparsely furred. So I guess they’ve moved into the garage 😂 welcome little one! Brushtail Possum and joey Northern Illawarra
