This is my exhausted face after spending a couple of hours crawling through the leaf litter, over rocks and through charcoal too by the looks of it and this is the face of the SECOND species of Peacock Spider that we found on the weekend. Not as fancy as the Plumed Peacock Spider from Saturday but this Velvety Peacock Spider is pretty damn adorable.
Still didn't manage to see either of the Peacocks dancing but DID get to capture a video of a very impressive routine performed by a Jotus species of Jumping Spider. Spoiler alert: he failed to woo a wife, but he sure as hell tried! It's worth a look (if I do say so myself) so if you missed it, check out yesterday's post.
