So many backyard shenanigans at the moment. Things that go bump in the night and then bounce noisily across the deck. I've started putting the night camera out and about again to see what's going on but frankly my skills at guessing the best position have been suspect at best.

I headed out last night with the dogs for a pre bed pee (dogs that is, not me. I choose to pee consistently, all night long 😫😂). I heard a bit of a rustle but didn't think too much of it, there are many, many rustles and crunches and unidentified night noises around here that you can kind of disregard half of them. But this one came with a squeak, like a toy being squeezed, quick and light in tone and as I flashed the torch towards it, I saw the cutest little baby Bandicoot just as it turned around and bounced once, twice, three times high in the air and out of sight. The trail cam was at my feet, unseeing, pointing in the opposite direction.

So here is a little vid of an adult I grabbed the other night, So lucky to have these little fluffies come to visit and dig for insects and larvae and the like.
