Well, I disappeared there for a hot minute, didn't I?! We've been living in a bit of a blur here, if by 'blur' I mean, surrounded by boxes and renovation mess, which I do. We've also been showering outside which is both amazing and annoying as all hell. Think: having to shower in the dark so the neighbours can't see you (yes I'm wearing cossies and no it doesn't make it less weird washing your hair in front of strangers and yup, you can assume ALL manifestations of hair in this sentence 😳😂) but getting to shower under the stars as a result. I, of course, have to wear my glasses to be able to see said stars and traditionally glasses aren't great in water 😜 Still, a girl's got to try, right?
It's kind of lovely though even in the rain. Windy days are less fun though. One minute you're standing under a stream of deliciously warm water and the next the wind has blown the water sideways and off of you 😂 I've been so wrapped up in trying to manage the tradies and the dogs and just life in general that I haven't even taken the camera out once. Well, I hadn't until today. And oh Lord was that good for the soul.
I just meandered around the yard, front and back, turning over leaves and peering into nooks and crannies but let me tell you, it is absolutely pumping here, weird ass transparent larvae, Planthoppers of all descriptions, Golden-Tailed Spiny Ants and Jumping Spiders everywhere. I'd forgotten how fun it was and how big a challenge it is to photograph the little Jumpers and this charismatic jumper absolutely made my morning. So hi! I'm happy to be back, try not to dwell on me and my showering habits too much and enjoy this adorable wee spider.
