A bit of press about the new to science Jumping Spider I found in my backyard. If you’ve been following this page for a couple of years, you would have been introduced to him about 18 months ago when I found him eating a bug on my recycling bin, not knowing just how special he was!
Fast forward to early June this year when I found another male and this time saw his lovely blue face and asked for an ID and learnt, after I’d spent an hour or two out and about and trying to ID him myself and after having watched the spider wander off into the sunset 🙄😂 that he was an undescribed species!!!
It took another 3 months (and a LOT of wine and chocolate) to find another specimen! Yay for backyard finds!!!
