Today was supposed to be filled with adventuring out in the world but after waking up feeling a bit rubbish and spending the morning in bed reading, we ended the day 3 steps away, literally, on the deck in the sun surrounded by all the creatures. And it was perfect.

Found this little lady with her freshly caught prey and we watched as she turned the fly this way and then that, feeding first on the abdomen and then flipping it around using her pedipalps and a couple of her front legs and then dining on the head. And when she was finished, she moved to the edge of the leaf and simply dropped the now empty body of the fly to the ground below and turned and wiped her fangs over several times, brushing her teeth essentially before slipping back underneath the leaf and out of sight.
