Remember that detox I mentioned a few weeks ago? Well, it's the beginning of week four and I'm still going strong even though I seriously considered sticking my tongue between the golden stream of syrupy honey that was drizzling out of the bottle mid air, the light catching it at certain angles and the cup of tea I was making for my husband today. So I guess you're all stuck with me posting more images of animals feeding their faces! At least someone is enjoying their food! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm totally fascinated with the mouthparts of Praying Mantises. Imagine being suddenly grabbed by one of these insects - and look at the spikes on the front legs, there's no way you'd be getting out of its grip - and without being killed first, you see this mouth coming at you! I do like the whole cleaning itself off after the bee has been swallowed though. There's something very 2020 'wash your hands' about it! I actually got this footage on Matt's birthday back in March when he got seriously lucky to see this happening when he was taking his new 'dedicated bee lens' for a whirl. If you listen closely you can hear him whispering, "I really hope he gets another one. Sorry bees". Well, at least he said sorry! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Garden Praying Mantis Northern Illawarra
