How do I know? Well I haven't seen any yet and my Facebook memories are filled with tortured posts of days spent at headlands spotting nothing that's how! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Hopefully the billionth time is the charm ๐Ÿ˜‰ I should make a t-shirt that says, 'I waited for whales and all I got was this lousy Nankeen Kestrel' except it's not that lousy really. Actually, Kestrels are one of my favourite little birds ever and this one was hovering and diving and grabbing at critters in the grass and then checking its claws for edibility and eating whatever it caught right in front of my eyes or opening its claws and letting the long blades of grass that it had pulled out of the ground float back to earth over and over again because it was a total boss, unlike myself who missed most of the best shots. Still, any time spent with one of these lovely little birds, is time well spent. Nankeen Kestrel Sandon Point
