I made the world's best roast, hands down. This is normally Matt's area of expertise and it felt good to shove him back into second place behind me in yet another area ๐Ÿ˜‚ Then last night he 'tried' to replicate my famous (well, famous to me) apple crumble and while he did a good job, it just wasn't the same. Actually it was bloody delicious but that doesn't go with the narrative I'm trying to paint here, so for the sake of a good story, let's say it was sub par ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyway, as we both have trail cams now it's turned into a serious competition between us and while he was kicking goals all over the shop the first week, happy to say I've taken it up a notch myself lately and had some lovely close encounters including with the Tawny Frogmouth that was just off to the side of the camera that was on the ground and looked so odd at first I thought it was one of the neighbour's chickens ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ But it wasn't just tawnies and we've had a lot of Possum action too! It turns out that the local Brushtail Possums spend a LOT of time on the ground in our yard! It all makes sense now that the first thing the dogs do in the morning is run outside, following some unseen scent trail, peeing on anything and everything! Our new morning routine is not quite as elaborate and involves a lot less peeing on stuff, but does involve checking to see who visited he night before. It's only 9AM but I'm already counting down the hours until I can set the camera up again! Brushtail Possum Northern Illawarra
