I don't want to alarm anyone, but I'm pretty sure I have the coronavirus. I have a temperature. I always run fairly hot (amiright, boys?) but considering the world at the moment, I figure it's best to assume the worst. Not to worry though, I always buy toilet paper in bulk so we are set 😉
Seriously though, this time last week we were sitting on a balcony in the Hunter Valley, eating the cheap crackers I brought from home and drinking wine I'd picked up at Dan Murphy's - totally budget savvy. Rest assured though we ended up buying 45 FREAKING DOLLARS WORTH OF CHEESE to eat with those dodgy crackers, and we went to a winery so say no more 😂 But look at the lovely young Eastern Grey Kangaroo who turned up to put on a show for us!
We didn't even do that 'we are so one with nature that we will just sit here and admire the wildlife while we sip on our pinot' thing. No sir. We screamed, "Kangaroo!!!" and ran down the stairs taking them two at a time so that we could snap a quick photo before he took off. But he didn't take off. Most of my photos are pretty hilarious. They start from far away, the roo just a fuzzy grey/brown shape and as we sneaked closely, the shape grew bigger and bigger until we realised that this was one ridiculously chill animal and his big boofy face, grass hanging out the side of his mouth, filled the frame as we ended up walking straight up to him.
In the end, we became those people and the wine called us and the blue cheese called Matt and the sharp vintage cheddar and the camembert called me and we headed up to our balcony and sipped our wine and watched as the night swallowed up that young Eastern Grey.
