Guys! It’s Bugs in My Backyard Week- the first one ever- and I’m not ashamed to say I’m pretty damn excited 😜 If you love citizen science and want to help protect our ‘cutie-crawlies’ this week is for you 🐜🐛🪰🦋🐝🐌🪳🪱🐞🪲🦟🦗

So firstly ‘bugs’ in this setting is just any invertebrate, think: snails, bees, beetles, worms, flies even spiders.

Check out this incredible web of one of the tube dwelling spiders that I spotted at home on my letterbox!

You don’t need an amazing camera, just your phone and your curiosity.

Any pics you snap upload to iNaturalist and you’re helping to protect our much needed and bloody awesome inverts!

You never know, you might just find a new-to-science species like I did, right in my own backyard!
