A lovely Bird Dropping Spider (sorry you got lumped with a bad common name, dude) on this rainy day. I actually saw the same little one yesterday and totally expected it to have moved on but nope, it was sitting on the same leaf, in its same position, except that this time it was covered in raindrops.
I love these guys though - I mean, they look so funny with their eyes all pointing out at different directions, and peeking through their legs! And the way they sit up and into themselves is pretty adorable. They're really quite distinctive looking and don't look at all tasty to other critters who mistake them for a bit of bird poo. Genius really.
So I haven't been posting much up to date content. I've been taking it really easy as I'm currently pretty sick with a lupus flare up. But lucky me, instead of photographing it, I've been crocheting loads of nature based critters (trust me, it's more fun than it sounds).
If you're a fibre-inclined kind of guy or gal, come follow me @backyardhookology (on insta) And yes, I had considered Backyard Hooker but thought my DMs might get messy 😂 I've snuck a sneak peek of what you can expect on my other page at the end 😉
