So, the spiders continue to follow me. I found a little jumper on the handle of our screen door this morning, and snapped a couple of photos. They are seriously cute. But enough of the spiders already! If I find a spider on my face in the middle of the night tonight (not a euphemism 😉😂) I'm going to be pretty unhappy! I'm just wanting some new and interesting content for you all...without having to leave the house 😂.
I've been holding onto these photos for a few weeks, hoping to get some clearer ones. But after a flurry of seeing these Lacewing Larvae (possibly those of the Green Lacewing) I haven't spotted any for a while. Ah, the seasons, they be a'changin'. Shame, because these critters are actually interesting AF. I mean, look at the size of those mandibles! These guys eat small insects like aphids, holding them in their jaws and sucking out their body fluids. Oh, and when they're done they often put the now emptied body of their prey, along with various bits and pieces of plant matter, ON THEIR BACK as a bit of camouflage. Alrighty then, nature, that's a bit messed up. That reminds me though: Friday night is horror movie night 😳
